THE CHALLENGE

Citrix needed our help to produce a Customer Reference Case Study Film for their Workspace customer, Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Scotland’s principle environmental regulator, working to protect and improve the environment, address climate and nature emergencies, and promote sustainable growth. Our aim was to tell the story of SEPA’s mission and passion, weaving in how Citrix’ digital workplace solution is helping them address specific IT challenges, specifically how to securely share data from the field and to reduce time spent on the road.

THE PROCESS

The approach we took was to let SEPA tell the story of their One Planet Prosperity Strategy from their perspective. The film was led by voice-over by Pete Birrell, Head of IS at SEPA, and allowed the audience to connect with the vital work that SEPA are doing and to appreciate how complex their work can be and why they need flexible workspace solutions.

This meant that we could subtly weave into the narrative how Citrix’ technology enables these needs to be met and how, together, SEPA and Citrix are combatting the impact of climate change in Scotland. For example, being able to access, share, and send information securely while in the field has helped to improve the speed and accuracy with which SEPA can predict flood risks or warn of airborne hazards, and has also reduced SEPA’s own demand on the planet’s resources by reducing time spent on the road by allowing field-based staff to report from multiple locations.

THE RESULT

By showcasing the real-world benefits of Citrix’s solutions—like enabling SEPA staff to work seamlessly from multiple locations—the video demonstrated a direct contribution to reducing environmental impact, while improving efficiency in critical tasks like flood prediction and environmental monitoring. The Citrix team expressed highly positive feedback, and the video has had over 2000 views across YouTube and LinkedIn, successfully raising awareness of SEPA’s environmental initiatives and the pivotal role of Citrix’s technology.
